Jon Wilson's Born

Well, the long awaited birth of our Grandson finally happened on Jan 3rd, at 1:25pm. Henry and I traveled to Birmingham on New Year's Day so we were able to be at the hospital when the baby was born. The 8 hour labor ended with a C-Section and the delivery of a beautiful healthy baby.

JonWilson weighed 7 lbs and 10 oz. and measured 21" long. His dark brown hair is just like his dad's, Eric. He has a cute little dimple in his hin that reminds the family of LeighAnn's father, Fred.

Moma, Dad, and baby are doing great and are at home with their pets Penny and Rozer. Sounds like he may be calling me"GJ" for Grandma Jane and Henry "Big Daddy". We'll see... but we sure are proud to be grandparents.
While in town, Henry and I were able to have dinner with many of you and we really enjoyed our time together. Sunday we attended the morning worship service at Faith UMC and was honored to serve communion. It was a tearful and joyous time for both Henry and I.

Henry and Hank arrived back to Denver on Sunday the 6th and I am staying in Birmingham for the rest of the week. I will be working during the day and spend time with the new grandson when possible.
