The Holiday Begins!

Hank and Henry went on the first skiing trip of the season this weekend. Henry's brothers, Ben and Jeff came and they all met in Vail for two days of downhill fun.

I went shopping! I toured all the usual spots, Macy's, Target, Kohls, and Walmart. Looking for unusual Coloraodo gifts, I came home almost empty handed.

On Saturday night, I met the skiers at Dazzles, a neat Jazz Club, in downtown Denver for dinner. The food was delicious, we had a good visit and then ventured out to the 16th Street Mall to see the night sites of a city all dolled up for the holidays. There were horse drawn carriges, trees adorned with twinkly lights, and colorful people. Along the 1 mile outdoor mall, folks along the way play music for tips, perform mims, sell various stuff, and generally walk along looking at the sights. A new holiday tradition was born - walking the mall to kick off the holiday!

Our Christmas tree is decorated and looks charming. The house is trimmed and we're "ready". Now we need some friends to come and warm up our home with laughter and love. We'll see.

It's Sunday and we're headed to Worship, then home. Joe and Jaelyn (two kids that live on the ranch) are headed over to spend the afternoon with us. Looking forward to a day at home.

Merry Christmas to all. Jane

Jane & family: great site, enjoyed it very much. Need photos of Cowboy Henry ! Not much going on here. Cleaned the cars, fixed a leak in the radiator in Jo's Oldsmobile - who ever heard of plastic radiators anyway ? The mounting brackets for the radiator much have been designed by an idiot or a company man intent on selling new radiators. The plastic radiator has molded ribs for strength, but the mounting brackets push directly on the thin ribs, causing them to crack and consequently leak. It is not easy to find a product that will seal these cracks in plastic, but after three products found one, and shaved off the mounting brackets to aviod the pressure on the ribs. Probably more than anyone wants to know. Work is good, boys are doing well, and Reba Jo has been quite lately (probably due to her big 6K win at the casino), but whatever the reason I be liking the peace. 'Tis the season to be peaceful ! Love to all, Pat

Jane,
The pics from your porch and of the sunset are phenomenal...would have loved to see some of the sites at the 16th street Mall. Pat's right-we need to see some pics of the ranch (or plantation as it would be called in the south). Can't wait to see you next week-safe travels! polly
